Double Plus Bang
I once read that everyone has a quota of ten exclamation points to use throughout their life. Maybe that's a bit extreme, but I do agree that many people use way too many exclamation points. The worst is when people use exclamation points on every sentence.
While thinking a bit about this I came across Elmore's Rules of Writing. I agree with just about every point he makes.
